2008 Revlon Run / Walk LA Memorial Coliseum Exposition Park | Saturday May 10, 2008
Another Successful Event sponsored by Revlon! Not only was this event raising money for research for Breast Cancer but as well made public awareness for Ovarian Cancer as well. The 72,000 plus participants that showed up the Day before Mother’s Day raised more than $3 million dollars. Lots of fun filled booths, lunches and a concert by the Go-Go’s. Halle Berry and Tom Selleck were this year’s host, started this motivation walk with inspirational speeches and encouraged all scientists to continue their passion in hopes and dreams for cures for the future. The Bobby Sherman Volunteer EMT Foundation were hands on again this year doing our fair share with our “free services”. . Fred Miller and Mike Rogers did an excellent job coordinating this stunning event and all the wonderful Medics that showed up at 5:00 a.m. in the morning. Let’s give a “special round of applause” to the 30 family and friends who represented our corporate sponsor team in representing “The Bobby Sherman Volunteer EMT Foundation, a proud sponsor of the walk. We were honored to be wearing a picture of Marjorie Montaperto sister of Byron Van Patton who is currently battling cancer
